A great resource for EYFS and KS1 with word mats and drawing activities connected to the Stage 1 Phonics Initial sounds. I tried this out with a student yesterday and she loved the graphics and the drawing activities.

I have tried to empathise with the characters especially August. In the workbook I have asked the children to look at the traits and feelings of the characters, their own feelings, to imagine they themselves are August and to write conversations and argumentative writings.Bullying and Bravery must also be written about by the children.
